According to reports, after the jury has returned a verdict in favour of Johnny Depp in his $50-million defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Warner Bros Pictures is rumoured to be deleting all scenes of Amber Heard in the movie Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom.
The report said the decision was made based on a meeting with the "upper management" discussing the need to drop Amber from the upcoming Aquaman sequel.
Amber had already shot her scenes in London last year and the way her character will be written off will most likely be an off-screen death. One of the theories is that Mera will die while giving birth which may be portrayed at the beginning of the film.

In a previous IGN report, director James Wan and Jason Momoa actually wanted to keep Amber Heard in Aquaman 2 but apparently, they needed to be prepared if Amber Heard is removed from the sequel for the sake of the success of the Aquaman 2 movie.
Warner Bros.'s direction for 'DC Universe' is now completely out of sorts. Previously, Warner Bros.'s high hopes for The Flash movie came to a halt due to actor Ezra Miller. Ezra faces controversy for being arrested several times by the authorities for various offences that to some extent tarnished his image as The Flash.
Some critics argue that if Amber is removed from the Aquaman series, she may not be hired by any Hollywood production house in the future.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is expected to hit theatres on March 17, 2023.
