In a recent statement, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar of Malaysia has possibly hinted that Friday, April 12th, will not be designated as a special public holiday following the Hari Raya celebrations. This announcement comes in response to queries regarding the possibility of an additional holiday on April 12th.
Anwar emphasized the importance of maintaining a work ethic, stating, "We should have the spirit to work on April 12th."
With April 10th and 11th already marked as official holidays for Raya, designating April 12th as a special holiday would extend the break to a lengthy five-day weekend, encompassing Saturday and Sunday as well.
The Prime Minister's comments were made to the media following a vibrant Hari Raya dinner hosted at the Putrajaya Mosque.
