GUA MUSANG: A male student suffered from a cracked skull after being beaten by a senior, because he was said to be interested in the same female student at a secondary school here, last Tuesday
Gua Musang District Police Chief, Superintendent Sik Choon Foo said the incident allegedly happened at 11.15 am when the victim, a form four student, was outside the classroom.
According to him, the victim was approached by five form five students who continued to hit the victim's body.
"One of the suspects hit the victim's head with a stone, causing the left side of his skull to crack. The fight was resolved by school prefect who was passing by.
"Apart from head injuries, the victim also suffered from swelling in several parts of the body such as the right and left hands, back of the body and numbness in the legs," he said in a statement here.
Choon Foo said the victim received treatment at the Gua Musang Hospital and was admitted to the ward for one day for follo -up treatment.
Clearly, the cause of the incident is believed to be because one of the suspects was unhappy because they were interested in the same female student.
"All the senior students who were accused of beating the victim have been taken into custody by the police.
"Further investigations are still ongoing and the case is being investigated according to Section 326 of the Penal Code," he said.
