A debt-related conflict escalated into a heated verbal and physical altercation involving a group of individuals right in front of a restaurant at Taman Sri Mutiara, Bukit Tengah. The incident gained widespread attention today as a video capturing the confrontation went viral on social media platforms.
The Central Seberang Perai District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Tan Cheng San, provided insights into the incident. According to him, the police became aware of the video's existence at 12:20 noon today, prompting an immediate investigation that unveiled the occurrence of the incident at 12:30 AM.
The altercation's roots can be traced to a debt-related dispute. The victim, a local woman in her 30s, found herself in a confrontational situation when approached by a man believed to be the main suspect. The suspect, in his late 20s and also a local resident, was accompanied by several other individuals.
