Sin Chew Daily and China Press reported that that Taman Wilayah and Taman Desa Bakti were under lockdowns last night. It was learned that there were military police there last night at 11 pm to surround these areas with the wire-barbed fence.
China Press further disclosed that these 2 areas did not strictly restrict the residents to stay at home. In another word, residents of those areas could still leave their houses for grocery shopping or 'tabaos'. This means that they are allowed to move freely in a limited space.

Other than military police who are on duty, there were also officials from the Ministry Of Health (MoH), medical staff, and volunteer guards there to set up the testing counter.
The report in Sin Chew Daily too mentioned that there are 40% of foreign workers at Taman Wilayah, while 60% in Taman Desa Bakti.
Meanwhile, in a separate report by China Press explained that these 2 areas were not under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO). It clarified that it was lockdown, not EMCO!
The purpose of this lockdown was to collect samples from 10% of the residents for COVID-19 in these 2 areas. The authorities have conveyed this message to the residents there through the radio system on the truck this morning.
In another report by Malay Mail too included another area that is also experiencing lockdown, which is Jalan Raja Bot, Kampung Baru. It also mentioned that these areas are located in the vicinity of areas classified as red zones due to their number of COVID-19 cases.
