In a harrowing turn of events, a man's refusal to accept the end of a romantic relationship led to a disturbing attack on his former female acquaintance. The incident, which unfolded in the early hours of a Saturday morning at a condominium in Bukit Antarabangsa, left the victim injured and traumatized.

The victim, identified only as Sharifah, 46, had just arrived at her residence and parked her car when she was confronted by her ex-partner. The situation quickly escalated as he attempted to stab the car's windshield and slash its tires with a knife. Undeterred, he grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher and smashed the front windshield, leaving it shattered.

Sharifah, recounting the terrifying encounter, revealed that she immediately called the police for help. Her distress intensified as the man turned his aggression towards her. She managed to flee the vehicle, but her escape was short-lived as he pursued her, violently attacking her and leaving her with multiple stab wounds to her abdomen, arms, and hands.

Despite the excruciating pain, Sharifah summoned the strength to move, eventually encountering a Good Samaritan who rushed her to the condominium's security post. She was subsequently taken to Hospital Ampang, where doctors informed her that one of the stab wounds had affected her heart.

The shocking incident is believed to have stemmed from the couple's recent breakup, which was triggered by the man's volatile temper. Sharifah had met the 41-year-old man through a dating app approximately three months prior. Their relationship had soured, culminating in a heated argument on July 26. Sharifah decided to end the relationship, prompting the man's desperate attempts to salvage their romance. However, her refusal only seemed to fuel his anger further.

Complicating matters, the man accused Sharifah of infidelity, alleging that she was still in contact with her ex-husband. He also began appearing at various locations where she frequented, further intensifying the atmosphere of fear and tension.

Confirming the incident, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail, Chief of the Ampang Jaya District Police, stated that they have identified the suspect and are actively working to locate him. The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code, pertaining to causing injury with a weapon.
