In a disturbing incident that unfolded in Jejawi, a restaurant assistant encountered a harrowing ordeal when he was confronted and robbed at knifepoint by a housemate. The incident occurred around 7 PM yesterday.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was taken aback when the suspect unexpectedly burst into their residence. Arau District Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Mohsin Md. Rodi, revealed that the 28-year-old suspect wielded a knife, threatening the victim's life.
In an act of aggression, the suspect subjected the victim to physical assault, repeatedly punching and kicking him in the face and head. Moreover, the suspect forcibly seized RM51 in cash from the victim's wallet during the altercation. Subsequently, the traumatized victim promptly reported the horrifying incident to the local police station.

Authorities suspect that the motive behind the confrontation stems from the suspect's belief that the victim had utilized black magic against him. This unfounded suspicion allegedly led to the aggressive attack.
Superintendent Ahmad Mohsin Md. Rodi noted that the victim successfully identified the suspect, who, at the time of the incident, appeared to be under the influence of drugs. The suspect, described as a contract laborer, was subsequently apprehended by law enforcement.
