Celebrity figures and business entrepreneurs, Aeril Zafrel and Wawa Zainal, recently fulfilled their religious obligation by paying a substantial business tithe of RM1.15 million to the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS). Aeril, aged 35, clarified that this significant amount was derived from their business earnings for the current year.

"Alhamdulillah, this is an obligation we're grateful to fulfill. We appreciate the constant blessings and unwavering sustenance from Allah SWT. This achievement also owes much to the continuous support from various parties and our devoted customers. We hope that 2024 and the subsequent years will bring even greater prosperity for all," he expressed.

Aeril expressed optimism that the zakat contributions would be beneficial to those in need. "In our sustenance, there is sustenance for others, God willing. We hope this contribution can assist those who require support. I have confidence in LZS as the most proficient agency in managing such matters."

While certain netizens raised questions about the public showcasing of zakat distribution, others have defended it, stating that such influential gestures should serve as an example for other privileged contributors to follow.
