This poor father's heart was shattered to a core when he found his young daughter's lifeless body in a gruesome state after being murdered by their neighbour. The victim, identified as Tilfa Azahra Mokoagow, was initially reported missing by her family before her lifeless body was found. According to international media reports, the suspect, Anita Mamonto, who was also their neighbour, murdered the victim after stealing her jewellery. The Chief of Police in Boltim, revealed that the suspect lived close to the victim's house.
"Based on Anita's statement, she persuaded the victim to go to a nearby garden to pick vegetables. The suspect then killed Tilfa at the scene before stealing the victim's necklace and a pair of earrings, hiding the victim's body," he said. The body was discovered around 7 p.m. in a coconut plantation approximately 300 meters from Tutuyan III Village. Authorities added that the suspect even joined the victim's funeral rituals after the evening prayer and then returned home as if nothing had happened.
He mentioned that the suspect had planned the murder three days before the incident. "The suspect used a modified and sharpened kitchen knife. The stolen jewellery was later sold for around RM905. The suspect also used the proceeds to buy a smartphone and a SIM card," he said. To make matters more horrifying, the unfortunate child's body was found decapitated. Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), stated that, based on the victim's family's information, Tilfa left home around 11 a.m. on Thursday. The suspect is expected to face charges and could be sentenced to either death or imprisonment for up to 12 years.
