1. Mojito

No matter how ‘new’ you are, we believe you at least have heard of Mojito before. Made with rum, lime, lemon soda and mint, the sweet and sour cocktail from Cuba is quite refreshing. Mojito contains very little amount of alcohol, making it the safest drink for newbies.

Now when it comes to Whiskey, we know that you are serious about your drink. In case you are curious about the various ways to enjoy Whiskey, here they are:

Straight or Neat: To enjoy the taste of alcohol, you may order a whiskey neat. No ice, no water, just whiskey. This allows your mouth to be filled with the sweet taste of fermented grains.

On the rock: Ordering a whiskey ‘on the rock’ means adding ice cubes to your whiskey. And the best type of ice cube? The large one (1.5 - 2 inch), for they melt slower. Adding ice cubes may dull the flavor, but there are times we would want a cold glass of whiskey, wouldn’t we?

Remember how much Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City loves Cosmopolitan?  Probably because this pretty little drink is a perfect combination of vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and freshly squeezed lime juice. The taste of Cosmopolitan is a mixture of sweet and sour, making it a drink for the ladies. 

8. Pina Colada

Like Cosmopolitan, Pina Colada is also a photogenic cocktail. A tropical blend of coconut milk or cream coconut, pineapple juice and rum, the refreshing and sweet beverage is served either blended or shaken with ice, making it the best choice for new lady drinkers.
