Kajang: Police are tracking down the driver of a car who was recorded assaulting a motorcyclist, including kicking the victim in an incident believed to have occurred at the Kajang Technology City traffic light intersection, here.
Apart from the suspects, the authorities are also tracking down the victim.
Earlier, a 58-second video showing the suspect acting rudely like a street gangster was detected on social media yesterday.
"A check carried out by the police found that no report had been made regarding the incident by any party or individual.
"Following that, a first information police report (FIR) was made by the police to enable an investigation to be carried out to trace the perpetrators and victims in this case," he said in a statement, today.
Mohd Zaid said the investigation into the case was conducted in accordance with Section 323/506 of the Penal Code for causing injuries and threats to the victim.
"People who have information on the incident are asked to come forward and provide information so that the perpetrator can be brought to justice.
“We advise the public not to make any negative speculations about the incident and to take legal action instead of slocing the problem on their own.
"Any information related to the incident can be channelled to the case investigating officer, Inspector Mohd Ali Hamzah at 019-866 0324 or any nearby police station," he said.
