At some point in life, all of us must have come across someone who is in need of help or a little kindness; but most of the time, we feel like we are insignificant to lend a hand or even inadequate to make any difference even if we do. But you wouldn't know; you wouldn't know until you do it. 

Helping hands come in different forms. But most importantly, kindness is free and kindness is for everyone. A smile, a simple 'thank you' or a 'how are you'; it costs you nothing to be kind. Kindness goes a long way and it makes people's day. You wouldn't know the power of the insignificance of a coin you happen to drop into the pail of a beggar by the street. You wouldn't know the feeling of the housekeeping lady who empties the rubbish bin that's underneath your desk every day when you say 'thank you'.

You don't know who is weathering a storm back at home. You don't know who is fighting a battle of sickness. You don't know who is depressed or who cries behind their bedroom door every night. You don't know who wakes up on a wet pillow wishing they don't ever wake up at all. Be kind, because you don't know when you will touch a life.

Be kind, because every breathing soul needs kindness in life including you. If each one of us do our part, imagine what a world we create for ourselves to live in. Do it today, so that somebody else will do it for your next generation one day.
