Tremors were felt in the Klang Valley, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor today, after an earthquake hit Western Sumatra.

Indonesia's meteorology department says a 6.2 magnitude earthquake was detected near Bukittinggi at 8.39am local time.

Those were sensations from the 6.2 magnitude earthquake from West Sumatra, Indonesia.
