The incident unfolded on Friday evening when Ella, Adik's owner, discovered her beloved cat with its head trapped in a tin can. The distressing sight prompted Ella to act immediately. At around 6:10 PM, she placed Adik in a cage and rushed to the nearest fire and rescue station, arriving within five minutes.
Upon reaching the station, Ella explained the situation to the firefighters on duty. Without hesitation, the team sprang into action to rescue the frightened feline. Initially, one firefighter attempted to free Adik while keeping the cat in its cage. However, the cat's sharp claws and heightened anxiety made the task more difficult.
In a video of the rescue, a firefighter can be heard advising his colleague to handle Adik gently. With patience and care, the team made several attempts to remove the tin can safely. Finally, their efforts paid off, and Adik was freed, much to Ellas relief and gratitude.
Ella later shared the rescue on TikTok, posting a video of the incident with the caption:
"Fortunately, he was freed. Thank you, abang bomba."
The video quickly went viral, garnering 77,000 likes and over 3,000 comments. TikTok users flooded the comments section with praise for both Ellas quick thinking and the firefighter's heroic efforts.
One user, Asmalaila, applauded Ella's initiative, writing:
"This owner is great; she brought the cat straight to the fire station instead of troubling them to come to her house."
Others used the opportunity to raise awareness about pet and wildlife safety. Another user, farrahcullen, commented:
"Always wash cans to avoid attracting animals looking for food."
The touching video not only highlighted the importance of being vigilant about potential hazards for animals but also showcased the compassion and dedication of firefighters. For many, the clip served as a reminder of the little acts of kindness that can make a big difference.
Adik's story is a testament to how quick thinking, teamwork, and care can turn a potentially tragic incident into a viral moment that warms hearts worldwide.
