While we were certainly excited for the new iPhone 13 series, they hype kinda took a huge dive after all the people who bought it started complaining about all the problems they were experiencing.
Yes, it is a common occurrence that when the new iPhone comes out, users normally face a ton of issues which are later fixed by Apple. But we still hold out hope that maybe the iPhone release won’t be as troublesome or won’t have any issues at all.
Sadly, the iPhone 13 series release was like a wrecking ball swing over and crushing down our hope because lo and behold, users reported a ton of issues.
So, here are all the problems the poor little iPhone 13 users reported and let’s see if iPhone has repaired it or not:
1. Tap to Wake Function not Working
Many users complained that after a while, the tap to wake function on the iPhone 13s just stopped working.
Resolved: No
However, users recommended that other users who are also facing the phone just use the power button to wake their iPhone instead. Users were also suggested to restart their phones but that isn’t guaranteed to work for everyone.
2. Unable to Unlock Phone using Apple Watch
While Apple boasted about all the new updates to the Apple Watch, the one issue that was definitely not talked about during the conference was that the Unlock iPhone feature on the Apple Watch wouldn’t really work for a while.
Resolved: Yes, Apple has fixed this issue.
3. Apple Music Bug
Some of the iPhone 13 users were unable to able to access their Apple Music catalog, Apple Music settings or Apple Music Sync Library after restoring from an iCloud backup.
Resolved: Yes, a minor software update solved the issue immediately.
4. Third Party apps not working with ProMotion display
Users of the iPhone 13 were looking forward to the 120Hz ProMotion display. Unfortunately, it isn’t really working on some third-party apps with the animations reverting back to 60Hz.
Resolved: No, but Apple said a fix is otw.
5. CarPlay Connectivity Issues
Many users found that the CarPlay feature kept disconnecting whenever they tried to play music.
Resolved: No, but Apple said a fix is otw and some users recommended a workaround.
Users suggested that people facing the issue should go to Settings > Music > EQ and change it from Late Night to literally anything else and apparently the CarPlay connectivity will stop acting up.
6. Facebook Messenger Notification Not Showing Up
After the iOS 15 updates, many users, not limited to iPhone 13 users only, are not getting their Facebook Messenger notifications. They have to manually open the app to receive the notifications which can be pretty annoying when you’re waiting for your crush to text you back.
Resolved: No. Apple has not acknowledged the issue.
7. Facebook Messenger Notification Preview Content
While some of the lucky ones were still getting Facebook Messenger notifications, they are unable to see message previews even after unlocking the phone. Quite annoying because users who just want to read the message without replying immediately, now have to open the app to read and reply immediately because of the Seen sticker.
Resolved: No. Apple has not acknowledged the issue.
8. Touch Sensitivity Issues
Users complained that suddenly the touch sensitivity malfunctions and there’s no response when users click on the display.
Resolved: No. Apple has not acknowledged the issue, but users have suggested a workaround.
Some users claim that a simple restart will solve the problem.
9. Camera Viewfinder Flickering
Many users found that when their camera automatically switch to the macro lens, there is a flickering effect in-camera viewfinder.
Resolved: Not really. Apple state that this is not a bug. It was intended behaviour.
