Leading milk company in Malaysia Goodday Milk has successfully completed Goodday KidSTART, a contest with the objective of identifying the nation's top young entrepreneurs a week ago, and it also happens to be the largest kid-preneur competition in the nation. Initiated in November 2022, the challenge attracted 340 participants from all over the country. Its goals were to promote financial literacy among kids and foster an entrepreneurial and responsible mindset.

These kids went through a number of modules during the bootcamp, learning all sorts of crucial skills, from pitching a business proposal to potential investors to developing strong entrepreneurial and financial habits. At the end of the bootcamp, eight winners received cash awards totaling RM51,000 to help launch their business goals.

Fatimah Basyeerah Binti Mohamed Ackiel, age 10, of Dengkil, won the first prize of RM 20,000 for her software application that helps stroke victims regain their cognitive skills. Fatimah's desire to assist her stroke victim grandfather inspired her to develop the programme.

When asked about her winning, she said: "I did not expect it. I'm so happy, thankful and excited to grow my business. Goodday Milk and the rest of the team have been very encouraging and I'm looking forward to using the prize money to develop and test my app on stroke patients."

How refreshing to see the young generation striving to create a better future through their innovative ideas and mind-blowing initiatives, all at such a young age. Malaysia's future is bright and secure, indeed!
