For the class of 2027, three highly intellectual Malaysians have been chosen to attend Harvard College, the university's undergraduate programme!
For Ho Shu Xin, who is from Ipoh, and Pua E Rick and Sydny Lum, who are both from Kuala Lumpur; this is the very beginning of a dream come true and high expectations to be fulfilled ahead. While Lum attends Garden International School, Ho, Pua, and Pua are all A-Level students at Kolej Yayasan UEM (GIS).
Out of a total of 1,942 students admitted, they are the only Malaysians who have been constituted among the 14.5% of the 102 international students from 102 different countries who were selected to attend Harvard College.
As for their programmes, Lum plans to major in Economics, Ho in Educational Psychology, and Pua in Biological Sciences.
