BELURAN: Police are hunting for two men who are believed to be involved in attacking a family of four with a parang at a farm in Kampung Cahaya Baru, last Tuesday.
Beluran District Police Chief, Superintendent Kasim Muda said the two men were aged 23 and 51, respectively.
According to him, in the incident at about 5.30 am, four victims aged between 18 to 47 years old were seriously injured after being attacked with a parang in a fight at the farm.

"Before the incident, the victim's wife confronted the suspect's sister to ask for the payment of an old debt which caused an argument.
"The victim tried to stop the suspect, but was chopped in the hand," he said in a statement, today.
Kasim said the fight was then resolved by the farm supervisor, who then took the victim to the office to avoid an uncontrollable situation.
"The suspect initially returned to his house, but later came back with his father and chopped the other three family members of the victim with a parang.
"Immediately after the incident, the two suspects fled, and efforts to locate the suspect are underway," he said.
He said the four victims were later rushed to the Duchess of Kent Hospital (HDOK) Sandakan for further treatment and were reported in stable condition.
"Therefore, we request those who have information related to the case to come forward and provide information at the nearest police station.
"The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing injury," he said.
