As reported in Sin Chew Daily, the Minister of Defense, Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob mentioned that the government only allowed relatives to visit on the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and the visitation must not be more than 20 people. Also, staying over is prohibited. If the house owner allows visitors to stay over, it would mean that he or she has violated the Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).
He emphasized that if the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on May 24, it means that visitors must leave the house before May 24, 12 am.

"Malaysians are not allowed to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri in a group on May 25. For the sake of the individual and the community, Malaysians are encouraged to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri only with their families under the same roof, and they are not encouraged to travel interstate to return to their hometowns."
He disclosed that although the government allows inter-district travel during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), it does not mean that the government and the Ministry of Health (MoH) encourage Malaysians to travel around to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
He explained that the government does not encourage Malaysians to visit one another during the festive season, it would be the best for Malaysians to celebrate the Raya at home with family members who are already staying together.
So, fellow Malaysians, just because the government allowed, doesn't mean you must do it! Yes, you are allowed to visit each other during the Raya, but you can choose not to! Protect yourself and others, stay at home, and together we can break the chain!
