According to Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017, the report of a foreigner molesting a 13-year-old girl in Jalan Kampung Fajar has been detained for seven days to facilitate the investigation.
The girl came forward and filed a police report detailing the sexual assault she suffered at the hands of the newspaper seller.
On the day of the incident, the man allegedly paid her a visit and entered her bedroom, where he groped her, stroking her body, and arms, and hugged her before handing her RM50 in compensation.
We hope the girl is receiving the support and therapy needed to recover from this traumatic event.
