A recent incident at a restaurant in Putra Heights has sparked attention after a man became furious when the staff failed to address him with endearing terms like 'abang' or 'baby.' The situation escalated quickly, leading to the man throwing chairs and kicking a table in a fit of rage.
In a disturbing turn of events, the aggressive man not only vented his anger through physical outbursts but also resorted to shouting and throwing packages and hot drinks. Unfortunately, one of these objects hit a four-year-old child, although thankfully, the child did not sustain any injuries.
Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, the Subang Jaya District Police Chief, revealed that they were alerted to the incident by the restaurant owner after a video capturing the incident went viral on social media. During the investigation, it was uncovered that the incident took place at around 9 a.m. and stemmed from a misunderstanding between one of the restaurant's employees and the suspect involved.
"The male employee referred to the suspect as 'pak cik' (uncle), but the suspect insisted on being addressed as 'abang' or 'baby,' a request that the employee disregarded," explained Wan Azlan.
After the employee handed over the ordered food and drinks to the suspect, the situation quickly escalated. The suspect became aggressive, resorting to shouting profanities and threatening to cause damage to the property of the establishment. In a display of his anger, the suspect threw the food packages and hot drinks into various areas of the restaurant, causing disruption and chaos.

Witnessing this disturbing behavior, other customers present in the restaurant experienced fear and disturbance due to the suspect's actions, which included throwing chairs and repeatedly kicking a table.
Law enforcement authorities are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspect involved in this incident. Investigations are being conducted under Sections 506/352 of the Penal Code, addressing offenses related to criminal intimidation and mischief.
To aid in the investigation, the public is urged to come forward with any information regarding the suspect. It is assured that the identities of informants will be kept confidential.
