The tragic death of six-year-old Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, an autistic boy, has been confirmed as murder. His lifeless body was discovered last night in a waterway approximately 200 meters away from the Idaman Apartment in Damansara Damai, prompting a murder investigation by the authorities.
Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed that the autopsy conducted on Zayn Rayyan revealed concerning injuries to his neck and body, indicating foul play.

"The autopsy revealed injuries on the victim's neck and body," stated Hussein, underlining that the case is being treated as a murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Before the tragic incident, the child's mother, 28-year-old Ismanira Abdul Manaf, recounted that upon returning home after picking up her child from Sekolah Kebangsaan Damansara Damai 2 (SKDD2), Zayn expressed a desire to play on the swings in the playground.
"I allowed him to play for a few minutes before persuading him to return home as I needed to attend to household chores and prepare him for his caregiver's house," she shared.
While carrying items and Zayn's school bag, Ismanira noticed her son following her up the stairs. However, after calling out to him and receiving no response, she realized he was no longer there when she turned around.
Subsequently, Zayn's body was discovered in a waterway near the apartment complex around 10 pm. The tragic finding occurred during a house-to-house police operation conducted by the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD) Chief's Office, initiated earlier that evening.
The final resting place for him will be at the Islamic Cemetery of Section 9, Kota Damansara, and the funeral prayer (solat jenazah) will take place at the Al Muttadin Mosque, Damansara Damai.
