Not one to shy away from stirring controversies, Balenciaga's latest offering comes in the form of the Trash Pouch, which undoubtedly was modeled on the disposable trash bag we use on the daily.
Made of supple calfskin leather, the ginormous drawstring "arm candy" is already making waves in stores, and with an eye-watering RM7,977.85 price tag (USD1,790) to boot!
For the house's Creative Director, Demna Gvasalia, the shocking creation comes as no surprise. He once quipped: "I couldn't miss an opportunity to make the most expensive trash bag in the world, because who doesn't love a fashion scandal?".
Oh well, the things people do in the name of "high fashion".
