At wedding ceremonies, we've heard stories of newlyweds bumping into their favourite musician or actor, but what about amping it up a notch by meeting the King?

These lucky Malaysians were blessed with royalty during their wedding reception as they met with our Yang Di-Pertuan Agong.

It was believed that the bride and groom were on their way to the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur's grand ballroom for their wedding reception at the time when their wedding photographer informed them that the Agong was also in the hotel.

They were astounded to discover that His Royal Highness wishes to meet with them.

According to the bride, she had no expectation of meeting the Royal Highness, especially on her wedding reception day. She was quite anxious and even got butterflies in her stomach. As we all would if we had the chance!

The bride also mentioned that the King spotted a convoy of 60 Harley-Davidson motorcycles that her father had arranged for the wedding.

She and her spouse were introduced to His Majesty's daughter and son as well and during their conversation, the bride disclosed that their wedding had 800 people. As for their guests, most of them were shocked to find a photograph of the three of them displayed on the big screen.

They shook their hands and congratulated them on their marriage while also asking about their age, career, and background.

During their surprise encounter, she recalls the King and his children being extremely polite and kind towards them.

This is undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
