Malaysian Medical Association (MMA)'s president, Dr. N Ganabaskaran, along with another 12 ex-presidents have written a letter to the Malaysian Prime Minister and its objective is to ask the PM to loosen up the Movement Control Order (MCO).
According to China Press, they expressed in the letter that the government has taken the COVID-19 pandemic under control with the help of all experts and existing information, along with the thought that it's time for the government to loosen up parts of the MCO's rules.

"For example, some businesses could resume operation with a limited workforce, limit the number of passengers in public transport and carry out sanitization activities, to ensure the mental health of the public thus allowing them to exercise alone outdoor, etc."
"The government too must request the public to maintain their hygiene, wash their hands frequently and maintain social distancing. Not forgetting to wear a face mask when they are out."
"Authorities still need to restrict cross-state movement but prioritize economic needs while all mass gathering must be banned until the number of infected areas reduces to nearly zero. This would take up a few months' time."
They further included in the letter that while loosening up the MCO, the government still has to be strict with the COVID-19 testing, quarantine, and treatment.
