According to Khairy, second COVID-19 booster dose will be offered to high-risk individuals in Malaysia. Second booster dose is not compulsory and vaccination status of this group of individuals will not be affected if they did not take the second booster dose.
Who is Eligible?
- High-risk senior citizens aged 60 and above with comorbidities.
- Non-high risk and healthy senior citizens are advised to consult a doctor for recommendation.
- Individuals who received Sinovac or Sinopharm as their booster dose for travelling purposes.
Type of vaccine provided is Pfizer only.
Besides that, second COVID-19 booster dose will be offered to high-risk adolescents aged 12 to 17 years old. This booster dose is also optional and not compulsory.
