Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh made a historical feat today following her very FIRST Golden Globes win! The Malaysian-born acting legend received the honorary award for her outstanding role in Everything Everywhere All at Once, where she played several iterations of laundromat owner Evelyn Wang.
This achievement marked Yeoh's decades-long contributions in Hollywood following her debut in 1997.
Standing in front of the proud audience after accepting her award, she delivered quite a sentimental speech, including sharing her fair share of racism and ageism faced in the industry.
She quipped, "I remember when I first came to Hollywood. It was a dream come true, until I got here. I was told "you're a minority", which is not possible. And then someone said to me- you speak English."
All was clearly well until, the producers attempted to cut her speech short. Her reaction? Well, it was nothing but epic!
"Shut up, please. I can beat you up okay?" She hilariously replied.
Guess that's what you get for trying to play off the legendary Michelle Yeoh. Congratulations Tan Sri, you've made us all PROUD.
