Residents of Presint 11 in Putrajaya are currently facing a concerning issue with unwelcome visitors in the form of venomous cobras. According to a TikTok video posted by a local netizen, these dangerous snakes have been sighted in the area between Flora Rosa and the Sakura residency.

In the video, a cobra can be seen slithering through a fence that separates the housing area from the adjacent forest. The snake makes its way through the shrubs before being captured and relocated by security personnel. The presence of such a hazardous animal so close to residential homes is alarming for many.

This is a worrying scene. Kids often frequent the area to go to school, expressed the concerned netizen in the video. The sight of the cobra has sparked anxiety among parents and residents alike, especially considering the proximity to pedestrian walkways used by children.

The comments section of the video has seen several residents sharing their own encounters with these snakes. One netizen recounted, I once resided at Kuarters Zone 6B, opposite Flora Rosa. I came across a cobra right beside the pedestrian walkway. I ran as quickly as I could.

Experts suggest that the appearance of cobras in residential areas is likely due to the disruption of their natural habitats. The hot climate may also play a role in driving these snakes out of the forest and into populated areas. Regardless of the cause, the presence of cobras is a serious concern that requires immediate attention.

Local authorities and wildlife control services are urged to take necessary measures to prevent these snakes from entering residential areas and to ensure the safety of the residents. In the meantime, residents are advised to stay vigilant and report any sightings of snakes to the authorities promptly.
