Based on announcements by Prime Minister Muhyiddin yesterday, and Defense Minister Ismail Sabri today, Malaysia will not be going through a total lockdown for fear of aftereffects to SMEs.
That being said, MCO 3.0 version 2 will see a tightening in terms of SOPs and police blocks. A few of the 'updated' rules are:
1. Companies are to lessen the number of employees who go into the office (20% govt, 60% private)
2. Only 50% of people are allowed on public transportations at one time
3. All businesses (including drive-throughs) are to be open from 8am to 8pm only
4. All supermarkets, hypermarkets and stores are to ensure only a certain number of people are to present at one time
5. All high risked areas are to be closed ASAP
That's all for now, but more on SOPs will be released in due time, stay tuned.
