Throughout their marriage, couples inevitably encounter challenges and difficulties, regardless of whether they are newlyweds or have been together for many years. However, it is these challenges that often lead to greater maturity and strength within the relationship.

Recently, a video circulated on TikTok featuring a conversation between a Russian man and a married couple of 35 years. Alexey Brock, through his TikTok account, engaged in a discussion with Mr. Salman and Mrs. Liza Abu Bakar, who met on Langkawi Island, Kedah, and appeared affectionate and eager to share insights about marriage.

Initially, Alexey inquired about the qualities of Mrs. Liza that Mr. Salman admired. He expressed admiration for Mrs. Liza's kindness, noting that they had become more compatible over their 30 years of marriage.

Similarly, Mrs. Liza was asked about Mr. Salman's attributes, to which she replied with admiration for his calm and patient demeanour, especially in contrast to her own tendencies towards anger.

With 35 years of shared life experience, the couple undoubtedly possesses valuable advice for maintaining a lasting marriage. Thus, Alexey requested them to share their insights. Mr. Salman humorously mentioned the old saying that before marriage, you would need to keep your eyes wide open and observe your prospective partner. But once you're married, it's wise to turn a blind eye to certain things.

Mrs. Liza emphasised the importance of compromise and refraining from dwelling on the negative aspects of one's partner. She stressed that focusing on negativity only leads to reciprocal judgement within the relationship, which is detrimental.

Furthermore, Mrs. Liza advised against sharing marital issues with outsiders, as it often leads to negative perceptions of one's spouse. She cautioned against confiding in parents or friends, as their opinions could tarnish their view of one's partner.

Despite cultural norms, Mrs. Liza urged discretion in discussing personal matters. Alexey expressed gratitude to the couple and wished Mr. Salman and Mrs. Liza continued happiness in their relationship.

In the comments section, many netizens praised the couple for sharing such meaningful insights.
