A 14-year-old girl has been arrested by police today for allegedly trespassing and impersonating a hospital staff member at Hospital Sultan Idris Shah in Serdang. The incident has raised concerns about security protocols at medical facilities.
According to Sepang District Police Chief ACP Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof, the young suspect was detained in the hospital's lobby after she was found in the operating room, claiming to be a medical officer who was set to assist in surgery.
"The Sepang District Police received a report from hospital staff about an unknown female found in the operating room, claiming to be a medical officer who would assist in surgery. At 8:30 AM, the same individual attempted to register with a false identity, prompting the hospital to contact the police, leading to her arrest," said ACP Wan Kamarul.
During the arrest, police confiscated a scrub suit and a hospital lanyard from the suspect, which she allegedly used to impersonate hospital staff. The motive behind the teenager's actions remains unclear at this time.
