Thanisya Rethina Naidu, a young girl with big dreams, has recently achieved a significant milestone that may pave the way for her success.

Expressing her joy and pride, Thanisya shared her thoughts in an email interview from Kota Kemuning, Selangor, saying, "I am incredibly happy and proud of my achievement. My teachers, friends, and family are also proud that I have entered the MBR. It's a momentous accomplishment, and I'm filled with excitement."

Thanisya revealed that she had always desired to release her own song after being inspired by various talent shows on TV. She credits her mother for constant motivation. When Malaysian composer/musician Ashok Kumar approached her with the opportunity to release a single, she enthusiastically accepted without hesitation. Thanisya is currently studying at a private school in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
The song was penned by Ashok and produced by Infinite Musical Studio in Shah Alam, Selangor.
For Thanisya, the recording and production processes held great significance. Tackling the melody and high notes posed the biggest challenge for her. She managed to overcome the difficulties and regarded the day of recording as memorable, as it marked her first experience in a recording studio. Thanisya thoroughly enjoyed the process and eagerly looks forward to more recordings in the future. Her composer and teacher praised her performance, especially considering it was her first time.
Thanisya began her journey of learning sangeetham (vocal music) at the age of four under the guidance of renowned vocalist Sharmila Sivaguru. Through dedicated weekly classes, she has honed her vocal skills and had the opportunity to share her love for music with audiences through performances on stage.
When asked about her daily practice routine, Thanisya expressed her love for singing, saying, "Singing brings me happiness. I love attending sangeetham lessons every week, and I practice for 30 minutes every day. I never feel tired because I love to sing."
South Indian Carnatic vocalist Sid Sriram and Canadian singer Justin Bieber are among Thanisya's favorite singers who inspire her. Apart from singing, she enjoys both traditional and modern dancing, practices yoga, and plays the piano in her free time.
Looking ahead, Thanisya has ambitious plans in the field of music. She aspires to create her own album and release another single focusing on Carnatic music. If given the opportunity, she would also love to sing English songs.
Thanisya's talent, dedication, and unwavering passion for music serve as a testament to the boundless potential of the younger generation, reminding everyone that dreams can be achieved at any age.
"Consistency in practice, listening to your teacher, and dedicating time every day to singing, even if it's just 15 minutes, will attract positive energy from the universe. Always dream big," advised Thanisya.
Her parents, Yogeswary Moorthy (40) and businessman Rethina Naidu (44), are extremely proud of their only child's achievement. Yogeswary describes Thanisya as a hardworking and determined child who never gives up until she accomplishes her tasks perfectly. Thanisya's future plans include delving deeper into sangeetham, releasing a Carnatic song, and ultimately pursuing a successful career as a lawyer. She remains open to further opportunities and collaborations to share her love for the arts.
