A daredevil stunt at a scenic location in Jinzhong, Shanxi Province, Mainland China took a harrowing twist when a performer plummeted from a motorcycle inside an iron cage, leading to a shocking fire outbreak. The incident, which was captured on video, left spectators and witnesses stunned by the terrifying turn of events.
The mishap occurred at the Wujin Mountain Scenic Area in Jinzhong, Shanxi Province, during a recent stunt performance that involved motorcycles within an iron cage. The performance featured two daredevil riders speeding along the cage walls, creating sparks that added to the spectacle. However, the unexpected occurred when one of the performers suddenly lost control and fell from the motorcycle. The ensuing impact triggered an immediate burst of flames, engulfing the fallen performer in a blaze.
The attentive staff at the scene reacted swiftly, utilizing fire extinguishers to quell the flames that had consumed both the motorcycle and the performer. The performer's attire was tragically incinerated, and they sustained serious burns. Prompt medical attention was provided, and the injured performer was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Witnesses recounted their shock as they initially believed the fire was part of the act. However, the severity of the situation became apparent as smoke billowed from the scene. Following the guidance of staff, attendees evacuated the area through designated safety exits.
The management of the Wujin Mountain Scenic Area confirmed that the incident resulted in injuries to the fallen performer, who was immediately transported to the hospital for medical care. Consequently, the scheduled stunt performance was canceled on the subsequent day.
In response to the accident, the Jinzhong Cultural and Tourism Bureau revealed that the performer sustained injuries to their hands and legs. Local authorities, including officials from the Yuci District Cultural and Tourism Bureau in Jinzhong, initiated an investigation into the incident.
