At a shopping mall in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, a local woman found herself in a frightening situation when a teenage boy armed with a knife emerged unexpectedly in the women's restroom. Sharing her ordeal on the social platform "Xiaohongshu," she described the heart-stopping moment when the 16 year old boy appeared just as she was leaving after using the facilities.
This scary incident happened yesterday afternoon while the woman and her boyfriend were at a car dealership inside the mall. While she was on the first-floor restroom, her boyfriend waited outside. As she washed her hands, she suddenly saw through the mirror a man coming aggressively out of a cubicle, holding a knife and rushing toward her. It caused her to fall and scream for help, prompting her boyfriend to rush inside the women's restroom.
The woman's boyfriend confronted the attacker, who tried to escape upon seeing him. A terrifying struggle followed, with the minor using the knife to stop the boyfriend from intervening. Thankfully, the boyfriend managed to subdue him and called for help from nearby bystanders and security guards.
What stands out is the kindness of an employee from a nearby beauty salon who provided a rope to help restrain the minor until security arrived. Shockingly, security later revealed that the 16-year-old attacker, identified as a disabled habitual offender (OKU), had been caught multiple times before for spying on women in restrooms.
The woman highlighted that despite previous encounters with the law, the boy hadn't faced severe consequences due to suspected disabilities, resulting in releases after verbal warnings from the police. When confronted about his actions, he callously expressed his disturbing desires for "women and money," confessing to being "addicted," as evidenced by explicit photos on his phone's wallpaper.
This harrowing experience has sparked serious concerns about mall security, allowing someone with a history of alarming behavior to move freely within the premises. With young girls attending classes nearby, the woman urged everyone to be extra cautious when using restrooms alone. She stressed the pressing need for improved security measures to ensure the safety of people in public spaces.
