A recent viral video has emerged on social media, of an individual being beaten up by a group of men while onlookers screamed in horror. The Malaysian Police have since arrested a man responsible for triggering the fight, which took place at a restaurant in Taman Ipoh Timur, Ipoh.
Ipoh District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said, his team has also obtained a remand order for four days on the suspect starting today until February 8th for further investigation. According to witnesses, the suspect in question was asked to wear a mask before entering the restaurant premise, which he refused to obey. Perhaps a bit disgruntled with the authoritative measure, the man then proceeded to retrieve a walking stick from inside of his car and started destroying a few properties in the restaurant.
This triggered the owner of the restaurant, along with a few other men to retaliate by physically assaulting the suspect. One of the men can be seen swinging a kitchen knife at the suspect, while others surrounded the suspect, repeatedly beating him.
"Investigations are still underway in order to look into all relevant aspects," he said in a statement today. The case is currently being investigated according to Section 324 and Section 427 of the Penal Code for causing injury and treason.
Just wear the damn mask, folks. Lastly, resorting to violence in stressful situations is never a good idea. Don't believe it? Watch the fight here:
