Central Agency for Application for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes (Puspal) has now announced new regulations to add to the already lengthy list of restrictions imposed on international artists who seek to perform in Malaysia.
According to recent government guidelines on concerts and live performances, male international artists are not permitted to "cross dress" or dress up as women when performing in Malaysia.
Another new restriction is that large-scale concerts and live performances by foreign acts are not permitted on the night preceding Islamic major holidays or on the actual date of such celebrations, unless the respective Islamic authorities permit it.
