Ngepan Iban has been chosen as the inspiration behind the national costume for Miss International Malaysia 2022 and to say that it looks breathtaking is an understatement.
Worn by Miss International Malaysia 2022 Giselle Tay Xin Heng, the glorious ensemble is meticulously designed down to the littlest details.
"The usage of red pua kumbu fabric makes this creative Ngepan stands out and a little exclusive touch is given to the "marik empang" worn on the shoulder, added with some other ornaments such as bells, stone beads and lace.
Sugu was also given a little twist where the designer used a combination of tall sugu and Kenyalang bird which is the official bird of the State of Sarawak."
