Recipe Sharing | Self-Made Japanese Onigiri

If you have any leftover rice, don't throw it away! Save it and make yourself a tasty Japanese onigiri! It's a super simple recipe and you'll only need a few ingredients.

Here's what ingredients you need:

1. Rice

2. Soy sauce

3. Oyster sauce

4. Sugar

5. Salt

6. Black pepper

7. Ham

8. Green veggies

9. Carrot

10. Cooking oil

11. Seaweed

12. White sesame

Steps:

(A) Prepare the onigiri

1. Cut ham, carrot, green veggies into cubes.

2. Mix rice, ham cubes, carrot cubes, and green veggie cubes together.

3. Add in some black pepper, salt, and 2 tablespoons of cooking oil to the rice mixture. Mix well.

4. Form the shape of onigiri with the rice mixture.

(B) Prepare the sauce

1. Mix 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar.

(C) Cook

1. Spread oil on a cooking pan.

2. Put the onigiri in and cook until both sides become golden yellow color.

3. Spread the sauce on the cooked onigiri, both sides, and cook for another 3 minutes.

4. Wrap seaweed on the cooked onigiri and sprinkle white sesame on it.

5. Enjoy!
