Police are appealing for the publics assistance in locating a visually impaired 12-year-old girl, Dhiya Azzahra Muhamad Alhalifi, who has been missing since yesterday morning.
Sungai Buloh district police chief, Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor, stated that the girl was reported missing by her father at 7:40 PM yesterday after she failed to return home.
According to initial investigations, Dhiya Azzahra informed her father that she was attending a birthday celebration at her school at 8:30 AM. However, concerns arose when she had not returned home by evening.
Dhiya, the second of five siblings, resides at an apartment in Section U3, Shah Alam, Selangor. She is described as 150cm tall, weighing 45kg, with tanned skin. She was last seen wearing denim pants, a black sweatshirt, a headscarf, and colorful sports shoes.
Superintendent Mohd Hafiz also shared details about the girls medical history. "Dhiya has a vision problem due to a cataract in her right eye from childhood, for which she underwent surgery to remove the membrane," he said.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Dhiya's whereabouts to come forward. Members of the public can contact the nearest police station or reach out directly to Assistant Investigating Officer Sergeant Mohd Hizam Talib at 012-6550262.
Police are committed to ensuring the child's safe return and are hopeful that the public's cooperation will assist in resolving this matter swiftly.
