Based on reports from this morning, the court of appeal has upheld the conviction and sentence of Datuk Seri Najib Razak (Malaysia's former PM) in the SRC International Sdn Bhd case, where he was found guilty of misappropriating RM42mil.
"We dismiss the appeal on all seven charges and affirm the conviction," said the Justice with a unanimous three-man panel.
Unfortunately though, a stay of execution from a 12-year sentence and a RM210mil fine, has been approved as Najib temporarily remains a free man.
Since the decision, a quiet scene with reporters outside his main residence, the noise via Twitter on the other hand has been rather loud and we're not going to lie, extremely entertaining.

Talking about #NationalEmbarassment, a classmate from Australia actually asked me last two weeks if there’s any update about Najib. I’m gonna tell him that Najib is officially known as #BapaKemaluanNegara today.

Datuk Seri Najib Razak who was Malaysia's Prime Minister from 2009 to 2018, has been the first Malaysian Prime Minister to be arrested and sentenced to prison. Since then, he has continually fought against all charges.
