A kind man from Melaka that goes by the name Shikh Muhammad Makhdad Haron, went above and beyond to help 72-year-old Isa Abdul Ghani with his struggling small business of selling frozen roti canai, by offering him a car for only RM1. That's cheaper than a teh tarik!
According to Makhdad, who happens to own a workshop by the same name in Durian Tunggal, someone had mentioned Isa's struggles to him, that he had been trying to find a vehicle for him to sell his frozen roti canai as he had to sell his old car.
Makhdad then invited Isa to his workshop to let him browse through his collection. The elderly man had initially told him that he could only afford to pay RM 1500-RM 2000 for a second-hand car. “But he was in for a big surprise when I told him that the car was for a price beyond his imagination," Makhdad said. "I felt happy being able to give him the car."
Makhdad admitted The RM1 price tag was just a harmless gimmick as he had already planned on giving the Proton Iswara for free in hope that it could help in sustaining the elderly man's small business.
Stories like this further prove that Malaysians indeed have a heart of gold. Always choose to be kind, folks.
