A harrowing incident unfolded yesterday afternoon in Seberang Perai when a 37-year-old man suffered a seizure while driving, causing his vehicle to veer off the road and into a cemetery along Jalan Kedah.
The victim, identified as a general assistant, was returning home after celebrating Eid Al-Adha at Permatang Haji Hassan. According to Superintendent Zulkeflee Sulaiman, Acting Chief of Police of North Seberang Perai District, the incident occurred around 2:25 PM local time.

"At the traffic lights on Jalan Kedah, the victim reportedly experienced a seizure, leading to his vehicle veering off the road and entering the cemetery," Superintendent Zulkeflee explained.
The driver sustained injuries to his ribs in the crash. Footage of the aftermath, lasting over a minute, surfaced on social media, depicting the vehicle amidst the cemetery grounds, with visible damage to several tombstones.
