Entering the second phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO), authorities are starting to take action sternly to those who violated the order. And with the new rule of Malaysian could ONLY travel 10km radius from your house, Malaysians, especially the ketua rumah who need to travel to the bank that isn't close to their houses to withdraw money.
So here is a piece of good news to Malaysians!
According to the New Straits Times, Maybank has announced today (April 3) that they are going to temporarily waive the interbank ATM withdrawal fee, RM 1, from April 6 to the end of MCO.
In the statement announced today stated that this action is to help to provide relief to all banks' customers who may have to withdraw money at their nearest ATM or self-service terminals, following the MCO guidelines to help to control the spread of COVID-19.
So now you don't have to worry about the fee and you don't have to travel to the specific bank to perform ATM withdrawal! Isn't this convenient?
