There were 334 individuals arrested in PJ on the first day of phase three of the Movement Control Order (MCO) alone.
The Selangor police Covid-19 special spokesman, Asst Comm Muhammad Yazid Muhammad Yew, told the press that the police have opened a total of 1,143 investigation papers and arrested 2,255 individuals for defying MCO as of April 15.

“Of that, 221 have been charged in court, while 27 cases have been deemed NFA (no further action) by the deputy public prosecutors (DPP),” he said.
He also added that those found breaching the MCO will be detained and an investigation paper will be opened under Section 269 of the Penal Code (for committing a negligent act likely to spread infection of any disease dangerous to life).
ACP Yazid said that the number of roadblocks has been increased to 102 roadblocks as of April 15.
He also addressed the rise in online crime throughout the MCO period.
“Statistics show that cyber and multimedia crimes have seen an increase to 283 cases. This is an increase of 53.8% from the 184 cases recorded from March 18 to April 15, 2019," said the spokesman.
