MYAirline, in a bid to address the impact of its sudden operational suspension this month, has announced a comprehensive commitment to reimburse affected passengers. The Interim Executive of MYAirline, Datuk Seri Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, shared essential details regarding this endeavor during a press conference held at the airline's headquarters.
A total of approximately 125,000 passengers were identified as being affected by MYAirline's operational suspension. In an effort to rectify the situation, the airline is estimated to provide a substantial refund sum, amounting to around RM22 million. These refunds are expected to cover the full ticket costs incurred by passengers. Nevertheless, MYAirline has appealed for the understanding and patience of the public as they work diligently to process these numerous refund requests.
Azharuddin conveyed MYAirline's deep regret and offered a sincere apology to all affected passengers and the various aviation agencies affected by the unexpected suspension of their services. He acknowledged the severity of the recent events and how they have adversely impacted passengers.
MYAirline is encouraging all passengers who were affected to initiate the refund process by contacting them at [email protected]. Furthermore, the airline has introduced a dedicated hotline at 03-8966 2522, which operates daily from 7 AM to 6 PM, to ensure a streamlined refund process and to provide any necessary assistance to affected passengers.
