In a touching incident that unveiled at IPD Shah Alam, 76-year-old Tan Lee Bin from Puchong went on foot to settle his summons at the Shah Alam police station. Despite the scorching sun and his advanced age, Mr. Tan, equipped with only a cane, walked the long distance from his home to the police station to fulfill his civic duty.
Dressed in shorts and a light blue t-shirt, Mr. Tan's determination and commitment to abide by the law captured the attention of the policemen present at the station.
Upon his arrival at the police station, Mr. Tan's story touched the hearts of the officers on duty. Recognizing his effort and dedication, they decided to go above and beyond their duty to assist him. Rather than letting him walk back home, the policemen arranged for a special escort for Mr. Tan.
They escorted Mr. Tan to an official police car and drove him straight to his home in Puchong. The incident was memorialized in a Facebook post shared by the official account of the Shah Alam District Police Headquarters (IPD). They concluded the post with an uplifting message: "May the bond between the Royal Malaysia Police and the community continue to thrive regardless of race or religion."
