A 19-year-old supermarket worker was killed on Thursday (Apr 23) morning after his neck was stuck between the doors of the elevator.
According to The Star, the reason why the victim got stuck in the loading bay elevator is unclear, but he was taking stock before the incident happened.
The Operation Chief of Sabah Fire and Rescue Department, Khatizaj Rahaban, said rescuers pried open the elevator door and got the victim out successfully, reports the news portal.
Unfortunately, though the victim was rescued and CPR was performed, he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
