Malaysian mix superstar Henry Golding was born in Sarawak to a British father and a Malaysian mother from Terengganu. You should know him from the recent rom-com phenomenon that is “Crazy Rich Asians” where he became the pride of Malaysia after the movie received countless praise and topped box office sales. This time, he has been invited to star in the action film "Snake Eyes".
This film is actually a spinoff from the "G.I. Joe" series and will be out by 2021. Golding will be playing the part of - you guessed it - Snake Eyes, a mystery Kung Fu master ninja that never reveals his identity. Covered in black, Snake Eyes is highly skilled in various martial arts, swordsmanship, marksmanship and explosives. His primary weapon is Japanese sword that he carries with him every mission.
Those familiar with the "G.I. Joe" series would be wondering about Ray Park's (the original actor for Snake Eyes) absence and what it means to the character. However, it's been said that the script was written specifically with Snake Eyes as a focus and for Henry Golding as the lead actor. The film acts as a prequel for the "G.I. Joe" movies where the character joins a ninja clan to avenge his father's death.
We believe that Golding will add a touch of his skills and charms, making his Snake Eyes unique. This is surely one film everybody will be looking out for! Let us all hope that we can be back in the cinemas when "Snake Eyes" get released as you definitely want to catch this on the big screen!
