An assemblyman in Guchil, Kuala Krai, YB Hilmi Abdullah , uploaded a Facebook post showing an elderly Chinese man painting over the faded no parking line marking at Al Jauhar Mosque that immediately went viral.
The kind man in question, Liew Yau Ming, better known as Uncle Meng, volunteered to paint no parking line markings for the convenience of mosque-goers, as it tends to get crowded in that particular area during prayer times.
Amidst all that is currently happening in Malaysia, it is refreshing to be reminded of the simplicity of kindness of one man, regardless of race as well as how one small act can benefit many. Kudos to Uncle Meng for his thoughtful service!
