In an incident near Simpang Ampat, Seberang Perai Selatan, a total of 23 men were arrested for causing a disturbance at a residence around 9:40 PM on January 14th. The Acting Chief of Police for Seberang Perai Selatan, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Norazmi Abd Ghapar, revealed the discovery of a 59-second video depicting the disturbance on the following morning.
The incident, which involved weapons, prompted the receipt of six police reports. Responding to these reports, the police initiated a series of arrests, detaining the 23 local men to aid in the investigation. In a viral video, these men can be seen holding a few weapons and vandalising a residence, as caught by the neighbour's CCTV recording.

The investigation papers have been forwarded to the Deputy Public Prosecutor of Penang, resulting in charges against seven suspects. Additionally, four other individuals were designated as prosecution witnesses, while 12 were released without facing charges.
All seven suspects have been accused in the Magistrate's Court on January 23rd, with charges filed under Section 427 of the Penal Code, read in conjunction with Section 34 of the Penal Code.
